The name on our door isn't accidental.
Jesus Christ is the reason we exist — and we think he’s the most important person in history.
Here's why.
Most of us sense that something isn’t right — with the world, and with ourselves. We don’t live up to our own standards, let alone God’s. The Bible calls this sin — not just the wrong things we do, but a deeper problem: a broken relationship with God that affects everything.
But around 2,000 years ago, God came to us in Jesus. He didn’t just teach about God — he showed us exactly what God is like, and did what we could never do for ourselves. He lived a life of perfect relationship with God, without that separation.
Then he died — not just as a tragedy, but to deal with our sin. He took on himself the judgement our wrongdoing deserves, so it wouldn’t fall on us. Three days later, he rose from the dead — and that changes everything.
If that’s true — and we believe it is — then Jesus isn’t just a great teacher or a figure from history. He’s the one who makes peace between us and God possible. He’s the answer to the problem we all feel, even if we struggle to put it into words.
